OMG I know im kinda late but i have La Roux too. Nothing special to her voice. And her hair annoys the shit outta me!

She's not an attention seeker. If you're a performer and you're on stage obviously you're meant to have everyone's attention!
If she stood there wearing boring clothes and looking like every person you pass on the street there'd be no point to it, would there.
She's just being different to all the other boring female singers. It's an alter ego, she's obviously not like that in person.

I wasn't talking about her stage persona.

I was talking about the way she behaves in interviews, carrying that teacup with her everywhere she goes and stuff like that.
And..she went out to dinner with someone, and only wore a bathingsuit-ish thing with fishnets and high laced boots with giant heels. And she had a parasol with her, while it was dark.

Thats still the alter ego, that's lady gaga, not stephanie whatever-her-name-is. Apart from her crazy clothes she's behaved well off-stage, she is wierd in interviews but it's cleary deliberate, she wants to have an effect on people and that's what she does. She's interesting.
