Apparently MGMT played a secret show last night under the name Blood Bath and Beyond at Glasslands in Brooklyn at 11 pm. First I heard it was invite-only but then I heard from the other forum that if you were there early enough you were in for $5. Shit is going to hit the fan if it wasn't invite-only because I could have gone. Glasslands is usually 21+ though... But does anyone have any more into/pictures/video? eta: There were wristbands for invitees and you could get in if you were early enough.

Know what be really spectacular.
If MGMT had clues for the fans, and send them on a wild goose chase to find where the "TOP SECRET" show would be at. For example, like the movie Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.
Hey reveries, are you going to All Points West? Since it's in your neck of the woods?

I'll be sure to look out for a band named Blood Bath in sydney. If i go i hope it doesnt turn out to be actually like,, heavy metal. ew.

Anywhoo, to answer your question, I have nada. Sorry. : ( Yes omg that would be so much fun. And s'all good. We just found videos that are being posted in the ~Porn thread. Oh well. And for All Points West.... I really really hope so. I was originally going to a Dan Deacon/Deerhunter free show in Brooklyn that is supposedly "going to be amazing" but the fact that I want to see MGMT again has caused me to reconsider going to day 3 that day (Aug. 2). I'm waiting on asking mia madre/getting my money together. Are you?

There are a couple of vids up on YouTube from this show, including a cover song I haven't heard them do before. Worth a listen if you have some time to hunt around for them.

idk. if it was really a surprise, perhaps, by name (Blood Bath and Beyond ), the audience was a group of gothic/metal guys
