I really, really like that track. Upbeat, eclectic and more than a little trippy...I'm assuming that was the boys singing in the chorus? Tossed in everything but autotune, didn't they?

The only things I didn't like were the weird radio samples in between.

I think the weird radio samples your referring too aren't part of the track. It premiered on a radio station so I think that's just the radio station playing their little promos over it or whatever.

I can't stand Jay-Z and even if he does an "ok" music he has nothing to do with the guys, I mean, I am not blind, MGMT is huge and kinda mainstream now but not as much as Jay-Z is and that'd be great if it could stay like that!
It would have exposed them for a not so interesting collaboration I'm sure, something that doesn't fit them, the Flaming Lips one is so much better even if they don't get any exposure from it, at least they stayed true to themselves.

Idk, I think the Jay-Z collaboration had the potential to be interesting. It really depends on Jay-Zs motive, whether he just wanted to capitilize on the hype or actually thought it'd be neat to work them.

The Blueprint 3 would be amazing if the useless filler was taken off. 15 songs and about 10 good ones, why have the padded 5?

They probably rejected it because the track they would have done would have featured a minor part, you can barely hear luke steele at all in the track he did with Jay.

I like Jay-Z.

I admit I like Jay-Z too (just really casually?). I like most of the stuff Rick Rubin produces (which was just 99 problems, I'm pretty sure) and as a white suburban ugly girl I totally appreciate rap a whole lot lol. The newest single is also totally great.
