Does anyone know what kind of keyboards / synths Ben uses?
There are 3 different ones he plays on a regular basis, plus a small Moog Fx (?)
I've watched almost every live MGMT vid I can find.
The red one may be a Nord, (?) but I'm most interested in the funny looking
keyboard with the 'aerodynamic fin' on it... Thanks.

However, I was thinking we could start a thread about their instruments...i mean I know shit about that but if some of you guys are into it...

I'm a bit of a guitar geek and know Andrew plays a Les Paul with some weird pickups although he's been playing some mad, mint green Telecaster recently.

Can't help with the keyboards though i'm afraid.

well as far as i can tell, the "aerodynamic" one is a moog little phatty (http://www.thomann.de/de/moog_little_ph ... age_ii.htm). The red one sure is a nord lead. But in an interview, posted somewhere in this forum, they talk about the synths they use. Originally the songs time to pretend and kids were probably made with other synths, as you can hear the slightly different sound in their live sets. In this particular interview they mention the korg mono/poly and the yamaha dx7. i hope i could help.

Andrew's main guitars for most of 2008 were a sunburst Gibson Les Paul Standard a white Fender Stratocaster and a green one with matched headstock. He sometimes used a vintage Gibson L5s (the one with the weird pickups)

For the shows in 2009 he used a customized Saintblues 51 South wich is the one that looks like a tele.
